    Hello~ :D

my friend wants to decide which racquet to buy asap since her uncle is going to asia and going to buy her a racquet, just not sure which one to get... and i am helping her and these are the following racquets that came up in our mind

    NS6000, NS4500, AT600, AS9, MP100, ISO75Light

and my friend likes AS9 the most but she thinks AS9 is too good for her... so we're wondering out of all the racquets we have listed, which one is most similiar to AS9 or which one is more ideal for her to get?

and these are the info about how she plays

    - all around player (doubles... she plays more in front)
    - good clear (doesn't go far but high clear with good arc)
    - no power, okay control

please help me out asap and give me some advice! thank you in advance!!! :D

The MP100 shouldn't even be on that list.

If she is more control orientated, perhaps the NS6000 would suit her. But if she wants more power since she lacks it, the AT600 would be nice. Dunno much about the NS4500.

I wouldn't get the Iso because since she is getting a racket in Asia, why buy a low end racket :]

Sorry to disagree with you jhirata
But if she really feels comfortable with the Arc9 and MP100, I think it's fine to get those also. Because the best racket is the racket you feel most comfortable using.

I personally like the feel of the MP100. First time i used it the racket felt really solid and smooth.

And the Arc9 is quite good in terms of control and power overall.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with the above statement. I think MP100 will do just great for her. MP100 is a well-balance racket; not too head heavy and provide very good control.

However given these choices : NS6000, NS4500, AT600, AS9, MP100, ISO75Light; if budget is not a constraint, I would recommend Arc Saber 9. It's a good racket with great power and manuverability; plus it's shinny bright barbie pink color. Female player usually likes it (my wife does!)

Second nomination will go to MP100. Third one will be NS6000 - a head light racket; very friendly on defensive mode but lack in power; AT600 on the other hand is a flex racket; good in control but least power.

yeah she actually does like arc9 the most, it's just that she thinks she's not good enough for arc9 (would look weird if not good player uses pro racquet?) so she's trying to figure out some other racquet =o

and ic, thank you very much for your advice! :D

haha I thought this over and here are my conclusions.
if there's no price range, go for the Arc9.

But if you need rackets cheaper than Arc9, AT600>NS6000

Ns6000 for control and speed, but lacks power overall. Used by those who already have developed the strength to wield it. And since your friend already lacks power, getting this racket would be a bad thing lol

It depends, for me the AT600 didn't work at all, probably because it is too flexible for me.

Anyway, my suggestion is to go for ARC9.

Nope. I feel AT600 does not provide any power at all - especially for people with weak arm like me :crying:. It really gives a hollow feeling when hitting from the back or making clerance.

There are opinions floating around in BC that suggest powerless AT600 is due to flex 4U frame (AT600 is only coming in 4U); hence it doesn't give sufficient weight when hitting the shuttle. I totally agree with the opinion.

NS4500 would be nice. It is 3u and not too head light with medium flex.

Go for Arc Saber 9. I am sure she won't regret. Getting weird feeling to use a "pro-racket" is just a humble & modest feeling :). If everybody is as humble as your friend, Yonex will be bankrupt in no time LOL

Besides, over the time the not-so-good level will move to fairly-good level and eventually to good level, is that mean she will be buying new racket everytime she acquires new level? :D ...
