Actually, I was referring to the group under the sticky under North Int-Adv Group. I saw aloysius in the name list and made the assumption that it was that thread that was being referred to.
Sorry if I caused any confusion. If you guys decide to form a group, do let me know. I'm always interested to try out and join.

Ya, I did tryout the North Int-Adv Group (it's a totally different group; the North-East one is not planned yet) and I'd say that the players there are pretty impressive, very experienced and ultra competitive. It made me stay grounded but at the same time was an eye-opener. If there's one particular thing, it's that they give very little margin for errors.
If the North-East one is planned, it will comprise of players more from Lower- to Mid- Intermediate, and maybe slightly more lesisurely, but not to the point that it's too relaxed. I dunno, but I have been very used to the latter...
As for the schedule, would have the check availability online...I used to have an online a/c but I think expired from disuse...what abt Braddell, havent got any replies for if Braddell Heights CC courts are ok?

Oh ya, one more thing, anybody got any suggestions on what shuttles to use if a meet is planned? I know very little about these, like which is more suitable for normal, mid-level play. Shuttles that are not too expesive at the same time...
I was thinking that if there are 2 courts, would 8 people be good, cause I was thinking not to have such a too big group. 8 people cause I'm like looking at continuous play in the 2 hrs, w short breaks. Any suggestions?

Yes, there are a few players there which are very good...I'm fine with low to mid intermediate too. I'm not sure about Braddell Heights CC since I've not been there before but don't mind giving it a try.
On the number of ppl, I think the max number per court can be around 6, so maybe a max of 12 for 2 courts should be ok. Still adjusting to the heat, so probably not able to go full 2 hours initially.

you might want to consider,
1) Paya Lebar Kovan CC (located near Kovan MRT, Opp MacDonalds/Heartland Mall),
2) Hougang CC (located at junction Hougang Ave 2 & 3)
3) Braddell Heights (as you mentioned)
4) Hougang Sports Hall (it will be like a "gold-rush" booking)
5) Hougang Primary Sch Hall
6) maybe other bc members can help to suggest the location
most of the players are pretty used to playing with the common ones available, like PT-10, Yonex A30/A40, Sea Lion, Aeroplane, RSL Gold/Green, Sintec ST818,etc. you can try it check out the price and try out, "ones man meat is another poison"......
hope to hear from you soon.

Try Ashaway International shuttlecock if you guys are into this brand. It costs between S$26-S$29 per tube. At least, I find it the best in their series. Of course, still cannot compare with other brand like Sintec 818 and Yonex.
