    Hey guys, some of my grommets have rips in them and im confused on what to do, is it a big deal and just wait for the strings to snap before i replace the grommets or will it damage my frame so maybe i should cut it now?
    let me describe the rip
    on one of the holes with 2 strings going out 1 cross 1 main on the top right hand side a gromet is ripped so the string is almost touching the metal its very close but im not so sure how close as it is minescule
    the gromet is ripped at where the string is going down so the ripped bit is going towards 1 side

    It should be fine. If the string is touching the racket metal, it will slowly 'shred' and snap. It doesnt damage the frame. Wait till the string snaps and change the grommets. But please note, the strings will inevitably snap, so if you cant wait and have some free time on your hands, change the string and grommets.
