Does it only work with towel grip ?

I've seen many pros who has a big knub on the end of their racket and inthe forum ppl say that u use towel grip. Leaving extra sticking out at the end and pushing it down after.
I want to know, can it can be done with normal grap?

it can be done with normal grap to an extent you can make a bulge at the end of the racquet with some tape or wraping the grip around an extra time. but you cant really "hang it over" and get the same effect as you can with towel grip it doesnt feel exactly the same. but you can still make the bulge with normal grip.
