Now I just need a place/person to fix this... unless it's relatively easy (no help from YouTube). I wonder what the "other side" of the replacement wooden handle look like because the MBS picture only shows a single orientation. I found a repair shop in Ontario through Google search (they fix broken handles and cracked frames) -- this doesn't help me since I'm all the way down in Arizona!

maybe you could bring it to Captain Fix or similar stores.

I removed the factory grip from my brand new Head Metallix 4000 to discover this. The racket is less than a week old but I'm concerned about the state of the handle, specifically the upper part near the cone. Is this serious damage or is it merely superficial? Despite how it looks the handle and cone feel very solid. I could easily get a refund or replacement but I can't be bothered with the hassle of getting another new racket re-strung.Last edited by allyjack110; 07-31-2011 at 11:00 AM.

I hate to tell you, that my friend had a Metallix 2000, and within a week, he had broke the frame, on a miss hit. Only at around 23lbs, he then got another one, and this time the handle went spongy during a rally, and it turned out the handle was broke...
