Broken handle

After ~15 years, my Yonex Carbonex 4 is finally... uh, retired. The frame + shaft came off the handle during a clear. Luckily, it didn't injury anyone.

you might be able to get that fixed actually, if the shaft isn't broken, which it looks like it isn't.

Where would one find such repair shop in the US? Besides the manufacturers, I've not heard about repair services being performed by local stores.

Yes, the shaft is intact. Only the wood handle broke, at the junction with the metal shaft.

How much are you welling to pay for repair? Let me see if I can get the handle off my broken racquet. I do have 2 broken racquets at home.

This is a Carbonex 4 of 15 yrs with a flexible shaft. Unless quality can be guaranteed, I'm in the market for a new nanospeed.

I suppose using some glue and cellotape
But seriously some PVA glue and then secure it with cellotape then over grip over that will make it playable

It was saved after sending for repair to fix the loosen handle 3 months ago...

Few days ago this unfortunate event happened. While clearing from the base I broke the handle. It was as though as I was hitting an signboard and the signboard fall onto me. What an experience.

I am bringing this racquet for repair afterward to my captain's shop for a 2nd chance to save my beloved racquet.

Yep you can definitely get that repaired, it looks like exactly same thing that happened to my AT500 - is the top of the cone (wood) in the cap? all you need is a new handle. clean out the wood from the cap, remove the cap from the base of the handle, then fit new handle. Unfortunately it's not exactly easy to get a yonex handle, but if you can find ones that are similar.

as much as I like our one-liner dialogue, it would be more helpful if you could provide comprehensive direction, from start to finish, on handle replacement, e.g., tools needed, procedures, things to watch out. this do-it-yourself would benefit the entire community!

I have also a big problem with breaking handles.. I already broke the handle from about ~6-7 rackets. My last new Yonex NS9900 did only last about 10 min before the handle broke. But i have one racket since ~8 years (yang yang taktik 9000(wood handle too) which never broke up today; also i often play with it. So there have to be good handles at the market.

So I am searching for a good (solid, robust) handle which I can use for repairing my rackets. Where can i buy them, has anybody experience with it? Or could it be possible to fortify the handle with something like carbon-fibre-tabe warped around the handle?

Yes, they are one of the most reputable online stores for badminton equipment.

they also have a physical shop in HK.
