    Hi,

I am at a beginner / newbie level and I would like to get a racquet for myself rather than using my friends racquet. Can anyone help with suggestions or recomendations? Oh yes, my budget is about RM120 - RM150 . And I m a girl.

I like the Li ning brand, but cant seem to find it either in KL or Penang.

I am afraid the Li Ning racket will cost much more than RM150 :-( , But if you are a beginner It does not make sense to buy the expensive Li Nings and Yonex to start of with!

Try to find a shop that can help you pick out a racket in your pricerange..

What you should ask for is:

    a) 100% graphite, (looks to be one piece of racket head and shaft!!)
    b) Light weight!! You dont want a to heavy racket to start with.
    c) Mid balanced, not head light or head heavy.
    d) flexy.. bend it. it should feel flexy.
    e) NOT Yonex, Li Ning (same quality racket will cost you more due to the "name" of the racket ... )

That is at least my advice!

Since you live in Malaysia, you should consider taking Apacs rackets. They are fairly good with very friendly pricing - especially in Malaysia. Take a look at edge saber 9 or 10. They are Yonex clones. Though they may not feel similar with Yonex, but it's very good starter.
