An Invitation: 7TH HIGHLANDS ANNUAL BADMINTON TOURNAMENT The Country Club at Tagaytay Highlands Sports and Recreational Department would like to invite you to join the 7th Annual Highlands Badminton Tournament. The tournament will be held on August 29 and 30, 2009, 9:00 am at the Sports Club Badminton Courts. Deadline for registration will be on August 26, 2009 at 5:00 pm. Members of Tagaytay Highlands International Golf Club, The Country Club at Tagaytay Highlands and Tagaytay Midland Golf Club and their sponsored guests may join the tournament. Current or former National Players will not be accepted in the tournament. The Tournament will be categorized into the following: Mens Doubles (Level 1 - 6 )Womens Doubles (Levels 1 - 4) and for Mixed Doubles (Levels 1 – 8).Entires per level is composed of 4 pairs. Additional levels will be added depending on the number of entries. All players within their group will play in a single round robin format. All games will have 2 sets race to 21 (rally point system). One point for every set won. Ties will be broken down based on the following rules. Two Way Tie - "Win-over-the-Other rule shall apply. For, Three-Way-Tie- "Quotient System" rule shall apply. The pair with the most number of points from the three matches played wins. Entry fee of Php 750.00 will be charged inclusive of tournament giveaways, Managed buffet lunch, highlands medals for champions and runner-ups with tagaytay highlands gift certificate, lots of raffle prizes and for tournament winners a chance to win the grand prize (to be advised). The Sports Department reserves the right to change any provision in the Rules of Play at any time it deems necessary for the success of the tournament. The Sports Department's decision on matters concerning the rules of play is final. Tournament winners and awarding ceremonies will follow right after the all the games have been played.
