dude, best suggestion I can give is go see a doctor and get an Xray. make sure there's nothing serious that's bone or tendon related that can cause you further harm. where you go from there, either get physical therapy, or do lots of warming up and stretching, or take a long break so the knee can heal properly... but that all depends on the medical situation.
I know some players tape their knees (right bellow the plate) when they play as a preventative measure, but if you are already hurting, I'd get it checked out first.

I agree with capnx on the fact that you should seek medical help IMMEDIATELY. Knee health is not something to play with. Don't take risks, especially if you don't plan on being in a wheelchair for the rest of your life or spend thousands of dollars on artificial joints, which I'm supposing you are not.

See a doctor. The extent of your knee pain is worrying.

Joint cracking or popping is known as crepitus. It's quite normal, and on its own is nothing to worry about. However, when accompanied by other signs or symptoms such as pain, crepitus indicates possible damage in the joint.

I could hazard a guess, and say that you may have patello-femoral pain syndrome ("runner's knee" in America), caused by wear to the underneath of the kneecap. But it would only be a guess, and really you need face-to-face attention from professional medics.

Thread is in the wrong section.
There are also many related knee problem threads you should search through.

But go see a specialist and get it checked out.
