After moving to the US in 2000, and visiting Manila after 8 years, I was shocked to see how popular badminton had become in the country (pleasant surprise!). I had always loved the sport, but had no idea how popular it could get in the Philippines. How the hell did that happen?!? Can someone fill me in on their thoughts, because I'm stuck in the US, and I'd like to model the development/promotion of the badminton in the Phils and try (at least) to apply this in the US (great job promoters!).
I think it rooted when an International Badminton Competition held in the country a couple of years back!
