HI all, i'm currently looking for a racquet.
so i've been looking around. and i've narrowed it down to 2 choices!

the NAnospeed 900 and the AT700

they're both really expensive. and i want to save money. so you guys got any Racquets that are similiar to the NNSpeed 9000? i like the AT700 as it is. but i prefer the NNSpeed 9000. it's really light. and sitff :) so any similiar ones? i need to save dough!:crying:

Try Ti-10 3rd Gen, extra stiff and headlight, just like NS9000.
Has good smashing power to boot.
    It's about 2/3 the price of NS9000. :D And cheaper than AT700.

I would suggest looking towards other brands.

If you want particularly cheap rackets , look at Apacs.

I don't understand though , the differences between Nanospeed 9000 and Armotec 700 is a lot?

Nanospeed is stiff/extra stiff (depending on which version) and head light , and the Armotec 700 is head heavy!

The two rackets are quite different?

I think Ti10 is selling around RM420~440. I own one new AT700 (3U4G), i feel it is really sluggish especially when playing double. :(:(

Apacs is a gd choice for alternative. :)

I think you can get lower than RM599.
    Ti10 is selling around SGD180 (Around RM450).

If you are in State level, you probably can handle any racquet. So I guess you plan to buy 2 of the same racquets for backup. :D

I dunno, personally, I haven't tried too many brands. The ones I can recommend you that are cheaper than Ti-10 are:

    Victor Brave Sword 09
    Gosen 6900 (Boonsak Model)
Wilson K-Brave (never tested it b4, but I tried K-Tour/Pro/Lite)
APACS Tantrum 200 (borrowed it for 4 games)
    Carlton (can't remember which model)

    Read around the forums.
    Good luck making a choice.

You may can try Apacs Nano 9900 (clone of YY NS9900), it is stiff and very light and very fast swing too. Racket + string + grip is around RM110 only. Gd luck ~

I second Badmintan's recommendation of Gosen 6900 Boonsak model. I just got one from Johor Bahru at a good price (RM370) and it plays very well. It connects well and has this satisfying feel. Power is also good.

Though this is the stiffest racquet from Gosen (according to their specs), it is definitely not that stiff, I would rate it mid stiff at best.

No offense but APACS clones are definitely not stiff, in fact if you look at the specs printed on the shaft, it is all pretty flexy and the range is quite wide. For example, I saw a new color powerconcept (clone of Yonex MP series) having a flex of between 8.5 - 9.5 printed on the shaft ! It does feel that flexible too !

However, you will be hard pressed to find a racquet similar to the NS9000 from other brands. I have quite a few racquets in my collection and none is as headlight and stiff as the Nanospeed 9000/9900. My NS9900 has a bp of 275mm and it is one of the stiffest racquets I have !

Hmmm, there are 2 models, one is Nano 9900, which is APACS clone of Yonex Nanospeed 9900 and there's an APACS original, the Nano Pro 9900.

The one on DinkAlot review is on Nano Pro 9900 and he rated it as stiff.

From APACS canada website, they rate the Nano 9900 (NS9900 clone) as stiff, but I doubt so. From what I have seen, many of their clones are the same except for the paintwork.

Perhaps you can try the Winex Armanetic Ti 909? According to the guy at the shop, its slightly head heavy. But haven't heard much review on this model though.

    to all :)

hi kriss, yeah you are right. it has A LOT of difference. for me, i have been using the AT500 for about a good 9months? and i know that the head is heavy. and i find that i have been finding trouble smashing. my jumps smashes to be exact :crying: so decided to look got a lighter racquet. and i checked out the Nanospeed 9k and i love it! :D but it's the PRICE that scared the poop outta me.
So to the others. Ti10 eh? is there any thread in this forum with price list for Malaysia? 'cause i'm pretty sure the Ti10 is Rm500+ :crying: I NEED MONEYY! haha.

Oh. the Apacs nano9900 eh? yeah tried it. great one. and they have the Arc Saber-copies too the Nano saber right? if i'm not mistaken. i liked the nano-saber 9! hehe. 'cause i've tried the arc saber 9 and if feels REALLY BALANCED hehe. but other than that.

thanks badmintan for the generous models of racuqets! right now i'm just SCARED of switching brands cause im a Yones user all my life. so abit nervous on that. hehe.

so to break it down. im going for Apacs, Gosen, and maybe ProAce anyone?

    thank you all!

according to people the apacs 9600 pro tour is much closer to the 9000 NS than the clone.
