    HI,
I was playing last night and had to lunge to my left, my foot seemed to stop then slip then stop again and I got a sharp pain on the outside of my left shin about half way up. This morning when i walk up the stairs I get a dull ache when i put my full weight on it. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done. Is it worth going to the doctors or seeing how it is for a couple of days?
    cheers
    Rich

either one of the muscles in your shin copt a jolt and is sore/strained. Orrrr the other problem might be shin splints. Which is where the shin bones begin to splinter from constant pressure, or poor support in your feet.

Either way probably should stop training and get it checked out.
