I always miss the easy dead smash so I try not to smash that often. I usually play fairly conservatively.

    I need more practice!:(

Seems that I can never do a effective forehand smash

So, have to stick with my backhand a lot

    Re: drop shot smash!!

Do you mean the shuttle actually hits the net?

Please describe more clearly so people can understand.....

    Re: Re: drop shot smash!!

I know what he means. The smashed bird hits the top of the net tape and falls over the net to the other side. I've never seen that happen, but it would be the nearest thing to an impossible shot to return.

Actually it happens somewhat frequently for and against me. It can be achieved when doing a normal smash that skims the net tape, angle of the shot is not really steep so that the shuttle will hit the tape with enough momentum to tip over the net. If angle is too steep, it might dig in too deep into the tape and not tip over. Luck has alot to do with it. It's retrievable... but you have to be in good position and probably need to dive for it though:rolleyes:.

I think this poll is too exhaustive to be a good one though. Voted backhand drop shot, but I think a better personal choice is the half-speed smash... look and executed like a full smash except with 'matrix' quality:p.

Drop smash as in the one hitting the tape and tumbling over? Yeah man, I love em' too! Too bad can only choose one, else I would've added drop smash as well.

But dead smash is the ultimate game killer. Doing it once will make you wanna shout, "Bring-em'-on!!".

Dead smash.:p Very seldom do I encounter people who can return my dead smash(I am not that good! Do not misinterpret me. It is just that the angle and the speed of the dead smash makes it difficult for people to return it.;) ). That makes me so happy!:) Just between us BFers, I cannot return a dead smash! I am petrified the moment my opponent executes one! That is why I love it and hate it so much!
