How to Grip (last stage)?

How do you cut the grip in order for the finishing tape to apply neatly? I'm referring to the stage when you create a diagonal using two points.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

i usually start on with the non adhesive side and i cut the diagonal just like the end with the adhesive side, then i start gripping with the side without the adhesive side until i gripped all the way up to the cone with the adhesive, then i peel the backing of the adhesive tape, tape the grip onto the cone of the handle, and i'm done, don't even need tape.

however, ever since i switched to rkep grips, because of the stiffness of the G09 grips, i had to use the tape as well, and the instructions were discussed in previous threads about how to grip.
