    Wawa,really?
But in china shuttlecocks's speed is ok...do you think it's affected by climate?
And after one game,we always only use 2 shuttlecocks...:D:D:D

alright i think it's time to elaborate a little bit.

badder, apparently bb101 is only top grade within the lower range grades, i think there's another model that's not in the bb series, but then again, the price was selling at $22 per tube... not justified!

summerfang, i don't think it's affected by climate, if anything, shuttles should run slower in canada due to colder temperature... are we talking about the same bird here? it sucks in terms of everything: very stiff head, feels weird on contact, inconsistent bounce and trajectory... :(

btw i consider aeroplane black and yonex 40 as the examples of "good" grade birdies.

    FYI:
SOTX BB101 has been appointed as the international tournaments shuttlecock in China and overseas and has been approved by Federation Francaise de Badminton as well...
Basically,no doubts for the quality of SOTX BB101.... ... ...
    :):)

What i know about BB-101 is 1st grade Goose feathers are used; providing excellent flight performance with high endurance. We also used it in our last matches. If its price can de down a little.should be much much better.:D:D

I have found the standard for Feathers is much higher in North America. Many brands/models that are popular abroad, for whatever reason, are considered to be "low quality".

Re the comments here, take them with a grain of salt as they may not be objective (hint: ask Sandy Pan which company they represent ;) )

ah, if anyone should know, RSX aka MJString is the man :)

sandy pan does indeed seem suspicious... who are you!!!

here's a side-by-side comparison of aero black and sotx bb101:

note the yellowish color and the wavy stitches on bb101.
the head is alot heavier as well, probably "bad" grade of wood used in the cork?

how can it be that bad i thought it was better than the bb-201 and they only cost £6.50 gbp and are consistent in flight and endurance is pretty good 1 and occassionally 2 per game and they seem better in terms of quality than the picture you show perhaps you had a bad batch

Having played with both Aeroplane Black Label & SOTX BB-101, I agreed with blindfury that BB-101 is not as good in term of flight, durability and feel. Unfortunately, the Black Label is no longer available in the UK. Wilson Topline 100 is good option to consider. The price difference between Black Label or Topline 100 vs BB-101 is probably less than 15%, but the quality you get is more than 15% better. In the long run, you will gain back the extra value you paid for.

    well put, racketooi.

i suppose bb101's feather is not that bad, but the cork is stiff, probably made out of inconsistent wood, therefore negates the entire flight and bounces seemingly random the moment an impact is made.
