tourneys in Long Beach?

Don't know about any tournaments, but the San Gabriel Badminton Club (a 24 hours club) is ~25miles north of Long Beach. It has 10 courts and cost $7 per day.

 

You can play open gym during the week days in CSULB (Califorina State University, Long Beach). I'm not sure what are the hours, but you should be able to find out through this link:

You should try Mar Vista Rec Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 - 10pm, players of all abilities there, costs $3 each session, but they provide you with as many birds as you want to use!!! Ive been playing there for about 7 years now and there are great and friendly people there.
