BWF had a re-draw for the MS event.

Easier for Lee Chong Wei, will meet Joachim Persson at QF and Lin Dan at SF.

PSH will meet LD at QF.

Bottom half, Boosak or Chan Yan Kit should be one of the QF-lists, and meet Peter Gade at QF.

4/4 area, bad draw for BCL again, meet Chen Jin at round 16.

Wong Chong Han will face Chen Long at first round, the winner is likely to proceed to QF.

Made a mistake, actually it is tougher for LCW.

    this is not fair
what is the reason of the re-draw?
I guess 'they' didn't want CJ and LD in the same half (original draw)

Looks like WCH's opponent could be home shuttlers until quarterfinal, Chen Long at R/32, possibly Gong Weijie at R/16 and either BCL or CJ at last eight round.

According to Sina news, China player Gao Huan was missed out in the main draw. He was listed as a qualifier although he should not be there. That's why there is a re-draw.

Now he is back to the main draw and will face Gong Weijie in the first round.

It looks like LCW is taking CJ's place in the original draw...........really funny.

I think INA is smarter to totally skip this one.;):D

I think BWF is fair... there must be a reason for the redraw... as the last thing BWF wanna see is CHina Vs China in Final

here's the reason for the redraw.

Badminton: China Open redraw pits Chong Wei, Lin Dan in same half

    By RAJES PAUL

KUALA LUMPUR: A redraw for the men’s singles competition of the China Masters in Changzhou next week may have taken away the smile from world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei.
The top seeded Malaysian now finds world champion Lin Dan of China, who is seeded fourth, in his half of the draw.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) confirmed that yesterday that they opted for a redraw following the withdrawal of world No. 20 Wacha Przemyslaw of Poland.
Usually, the BWF do not conduct a redraw when one or two players pull out of the competition or if they feel that the absence of one player will not affect the draw.
[IMG] No cheer: Lee Chong Wei is the top seed while Lin Dan is seeded fourth in the China Open.
The BWF event manager, V. Venugopal, said: “The tournament referee felt the need for a redraw. They had a good reason to do it and it was carried out yesterday. Only the men’s singles competition was affected.”
National coach Misbun Sidek felt that the redraw would not really affect Chong Wei as he still needed to stay focused on the tasks in the early rounds.
“Yes, the previous draw was much more favourable to Chong Wei. But in the redraw, there are still younger players waiting to scalp him and it will not be easy from the first round,” he said.
Chong Wei will take on Chinese youngster Lu Qicheng in the opening round and he cannot expect to have a walk in the park.
The others in his quarter are talented Thai youngster Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk, Denmark’s Joa-chim Persson and another young Chinese talent, Du Pengyu.
Lin Dan is in the same quarter as South Korean Park Sung-hwan, Hong Kong’s Hu Yun and Taiwanese Hsieh Yu-hsin.
The other half of the draw with second seed Chen Jin are his Chinese compatriot, Bao Chunlai, Dane Peter-Gade Christensen, Thai Boonsak Ponsana and Malaysian veteran Wong Choong Hann.

As usual, it's $$$ issue, although Lius said differently.
I do wonder why Djarum doesn't take advantage of this and send their player instead??

I'm in a bad mood for the delayed Rafa match and now, what is this re-draw thing?! I just read the BAM site news... aiseh! What kind of mistake is this? Next week gonna play only now realize the need to re-draw... if he was listed in the qualifier but shouldn't be there, why not use that WO format to push him forward to main draw? cannot meh? whyyyyy need to re-draw? haiya what fair la, I don't think final CHN vs CHN is impossible.... definitely possible... LD in 1st half, CHN others best bet in the bottom half... manipulation... manipulation...

the redraw actually favored LCW as i don't see any serious players that could upset or tire out LCW. In LD's case, he has to deal with PSH and Hsieh Yu-hsin which IMO much more competent players than what lcw has to face with. I see most of the jr chinese players are on the other half, lucky to lcw again since those chinese jr's are trained to beat lcw and TH, LOL.
