Well, since this is a 5* tourney, there will be some tougher competition than the Dutch Open. Lin Dan hasn't show any form of consistency since the return to 3 x 15. In fact, he didn't even get by the first round in the past couple of tourneys. My pick would be Chen Hong. With the absense of Taufik H, Chen has a very realistic chance for the title. But we can't forget the several other top Malaysians participating!!

    Peter Gade

    Don't forget Peter is back!

The question is how much energy he will lose because he has to go through qualification...
If he makes it through to the 2nd round he will clash with Lin Dan. Looking forward to it :)

Lin Dan? He's not so impressive in the 3x15. Chen Hong, Bao Chunlai and Xia Xuanze are way more consistant.

Chen Hong is playing? My bet is he's likely to win it. Malaysia has a very good chance of winning too but their players are somewhat erratic. Wong CH, Hafiz, Ong EH, Lee TS are so inconsistant nowadays! (Ok, their players reached the finals of the Dutch Open but we'll see!)

Peter Gade also has a realistic chance of winning IMO. :)

Yup, Chen H. does not face too many tough competitors in the early stages. He has a possiblity of facing Ronny Susilo in round of 16 and then in quarter-finals can face Agus Hariyanto. If he advances to semí-finals, his main possibilities are Nathan Ramesh, Lee Hyun II, Peter Rasmusson, or Ong Ewe Hock. Lin Dan probably won't progress too far with his lack of consistency.

    Go Chen Hong!!:)

Does anyone know if the Danish Open will have any live scoring like they had for the Dutch open? I have tried but to no avail.

    Chen Hong to win Danish?

From Asian games I think he is exhausted and past peak.

Maybe someone fresh and mre hungry for successs and not afraid of injury.

That's because you're bored with him winning all the time? :)

Anyway if Chen Hong manages to get into the final 16, he might meet Ronald Susilo. A rematch of the Singapore Open finals perhaps?

I noticed Peter Gade seems to be strolling in the qualification stages. He'll meet Lin Dan in the 2nd round!! That's early and it should be an interesting match! Looking at the table, Peter Gade has a very good chance of reaching the finals. His only "obstacles" are Lin Dan and either Wong Choon Han or Lee Tsuen Seng in the qauter finals....

    So interesting.

Zhu WeiLung is playing. I wonder if he is now playing professionally in Europe. The guy has really nice strokes.

Chen Gang beat the young Taufiq Akbar H

I think at the rate players enter tours that few players

can win more than 2/3 tours per year.

i am definitely not bored with watching Chen Hong, I think he is

getting quite close to Sun Jun already but I don't think he can win so many tours.

People like Lin Dan and Xia even just threw in the towel in the first round of some

recent tours and just plyed because they were obliged to sponsors.

It's such a pity Peter Gade has to meet Lin Dan right now, they are both so good. Furthermore, I do want to see Peter regain his former glory.
Lee TS lost to Irwansyah, possibly due to fatigue. Wong Choong Hann has gone through, so hopefully he will avenge Lee's defeat there against this upstart from wales.

Seems like Ong Ewe Hock got injured during the match.
Hidetaka Yamada was leading 10-0. Ong Ewe Hock couldn't have possibly just walk away like that without finishing the match!

And Chen Hong is indeed meeting R.Susilo. I hope this time, the match will be more close than the disappointing finals of the Singapore Open!

    Yeah Go Chen Hong, go!!
Who's this Luo Xilin fella who's in the round of 16 against Nathan Ramesh? He looks pretty stable, kicking out Budi Santoso in two straight sets. Is he some Chinese National reserve team member or just somebody who's been overshadowed by the bignames like Chen H, Xia XZ, and Bao CL, similar to Chen Gang? Or is a junior team member that moved on to the pro circuit??
