I have searched about this topic, but no luck... My friend told me that he have 3 different badminton shoes for 3 different type of court (carpet, hard, and rubber). He started to use different shoes for different courts since he got an injury because he used "wrong shoes". Do this kind of thing necessary? Any of you prepare different shoes for different courts? I personally use only one shoe, and whenever I play in a rubber court it just doesn't feel good. It works fine in carpet and hard court anyway.
A club round my way used to play on astro-carpet. Badminton on astro-carpet is not fun at all. I'd advise you to avoid it if you possibly can - it's awful. As for needing different shoes for different surfaces, I don't really think it's necessary. I would just buy one good quality pair of badminton specific shoes that fit well and are comfortable.
never tried on carpet floor, but did on concrete and clay courts. as for shoe type, go with Danstevens's advise.
