Backhand short serve - Wrist locked?

    Do you guys do backhand short serve with your wrist locked? So you are basically only pushing the shuttle with your arm.

    I have been told from a more advanced player that, that is how he serves and it avoids serve that can be unnecessarily high for the opponent to tap. I have been doing backhand short serve with my wrist.

    serves are something that depend heavily on style, dont get me wrong here, as there is a proper method of serving and a wrong method of doing it as well. i personally dont recommend locking out your wrist as the smaller wrist muscles have more control than the larger ones
