Getting old and body warm up

    Back in the high school, lots of the time I would just jump on the court and start playing w/o warming up (bad habit, I know) and everything is just fine.

    But these days (10 yrs later), if I try to do that, the moment my racket hit the birdie on a clear, I would get a shooting pain down my shoulder to remind me that I need to warm up.

    Anyone else experience the need for additional warm up as you get older?

    yup, not only that warm ups are needed, warm up periods will need to be longer. The brisk 5 or 10 second types are no longer enough for me.
