So i am new to the badminton world, just started a couple months ago. So i went out to a store and a purchased the AC147EX - Clean grip because i really hate the grip that is originally on my racket. So I'm wondering if you are suppose to remove the original grip that is on it first and then put the new grip on it (where u see the wood part); or do you just overlap it onto the original.

It seems that if i put the 2 together it would seem a bit heavy overall.
So is it normal to apply the new grip directly on the wooden part.

Answers/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Clean grap are overgrip & might be too thin if you put it directly onto the wood.

these grips are usually applied on top of a replacement grip or stock grip.

I think it depends on what you're comfortable with. I have larger hands so I typically buy g3 rackets and stick an overgrip on. Each person is different but I normally don't take the existing grip off.
