I'm playing once a week with my friends, both double and single games. We do it mostly for exercise and fun. I have a Yonex racket (can't remeber what model, have to check that, but it is a beginners racket.) that I bought about 4 years ago. I feel I can't get the racket as fast that I want to on the fast balls, I'm there but it's still some inches left to reach the ball. Will it help me if I get a lighter racket?

if you can't get to the birdie as fast as you wanted, then it's not really the racket, but either your footwork, or your reflex is just slow. just give yourself some time to read the shots your friends make so you'll know where to go before they hit the birdie. you could get a 4u racket but your racket might be just as light already. try to work on your reaction time instead....that's just my thoughts.

sorry, one more thing is if you're using a racket that's four years old, i do hope that you replace the strings that's also four years old. restring it and see if the feel of the racket makes a difference, it might affect your game.

I asked a couple of shops for some input. This is what they say:

Shop A: Buy Yonex Armortec 900 Power or Yonex Nano speed 300.

    Shop B: Yonex Arcsaber 7

I think a Wilson N Force 600 could perhaps be something for me.

I am currently using WINEX W-20. It's a clone of the Yonex Cab-20 and is alot better than I expected. Plus the price for WINEX is more reasonable than Yonex. You should give it a try.
