so the moderators gathered at a table and we decided that in the future, we will not be having polls created by the users. instead, we will have official ones which are created by the moderators. if you have suggestions for one, and please let us know (via PM) why you think that's a good poll. we will put it up for you.

    thanks for visiting!

which table? made in HK, USA or Sweden? :p

By the way, it is a relief for me.
It is kind of disturbing when seeing so many pointless poll everyday.

    Thank you. :)

Who told you this was a democracy? ;)

And besides, the direction this discussion has taken is proof enough that our decision was right... :D

I think we should give consideration to what our BF moderators are suggesting and I support their decision. We may not realise the difficulty that they are experiencing. The availability of this forum is a clear indication that democracy is alive and we should be grateful to our BF friends for making this possible. Do remember too that democracy brings with it responsibility and here is perhaps what our moderators are concerned about.

Btw, I thought our moderators are located in different parts of the world and the question raised by 'Nic' regarding Kwun's "gathered at a (whose/what) table" is an interesting one. Are the moderators personal friends or former college mates and now 'dispersed' in different parts of the world for whatever reasons but are kept in contact through the internet or by phone because of their common love for badminton? Perhaps Kwun can enlighten? :)

thanks Loh. most of the time being a moderator is pretty leisure, not much to do. however, when issues arises, it does take some good judgement. that's why i am grateful to receive help and opinions from the other moderators. there are 3 moderators as Loh you said. Mag is in Sweden, Cheung is in Hong Kong and i am in the west coast of US.

we all knew each other through the forum (actually, probably through the Baffalo forum which still exists...) years ago. i have met Cheung a few times when i went back to HK, but Mag we have never met, all we know is that he is a giant and is just as crazy about badminton as all of us. :)

as for the table, well, that is the virtual meeting place the 3 of us meet to discuss forum related issues. i used "table" in the figurative sense and also half jokingly. :)

    hope that answers your question.

    What??? No tall tales???

Heheh...thought you would spun a tale of how you, Cheung & Mag were pro badminton players in previous life and took a blood oath to create BF and BC for us badminton nuts in your current lives.

    :D :D :D :D

I guess it's better to use "window" instead of "table" ei? ;)
