    Hi,

I think I'll go watch it at the arena. As a spectator, which day do you think would be the most interesting for me (or most fun!!) ? I'm looking at going there on saturday or sunday.

PS. I've never watched a badminton tournament live so I really don't know if it's like tennis where I think the finals are the most interesting. The matches in badminton are shorter than in tennis, so maybe the sunday would be a lot shorter than the saturday ? Plz, Give your input..

I'd definitely go see the semis. More games, often just as exciting as the finals.

As to Gade, he said after the fight that he had no pains at all in his knee, "in fact, that's probably the only part of my body that's not tired right now..."

Qualification is taxing (first time he's had to play 3 matches in a day!), even if the opponent's aren't top 10 material... too bad. But I think he proved that he's back!

Well, I'm back... I went there yesterday, great matches, especially Eriksen/Lundgaard. I'm watching the finals now, on tele of course.. I think they'll broadcast all the finals on TV2 today.

Would you consider writing a report for Badminton Forum? It can be as short or long as you like, just a little something for the rest of us who weren't there...

Umm, I'm absolutely new to the top badminton players (not the sport ifself though) so, if you are thinking of a real report for badminton central, fugged it :D However, I'll post my impressions and what litte info i could find right here:

Nice Arena, I'd estimate that 1500-2000 people out of 3000 came. Expensive tickets, I had a good seat on the 7th row just behind one side of the court and had to pay EUR/USD 20.

After having seen Kenneth Jonassen play in the semis, it was pretty clear that I thought Chen Hong would win the singles tournament, he looked more relaxed and in control even though Kenneth put up a really good fight in the finals.

In the doubles, Lundgaard / Eriksen definately seemed the stronger of the 2 pairs on the court, however, Chan and Chew got better and better and really excelled in the third set. It almost looked as if the Danes wasted most of their concentration and power in the beginning of the match.

Camilla looked strong throughout the tournament and as I noted in another thread, she has slightly bad temper sometimes. As a new spectator to badminton tournaments, I'd expect a lot more bad tempered badminton players... but they all seem like very good sportsmen.

My seat was a bit off to the side so I had difficulties watching the matches on the other court..

I'm too new to all this to comment on the players shape and injury recoveries.
