Okay, so I'm curious about how people are setting up their ZS, so I've decided to to start a thread on it (mostly because mine kinda sucks as-is). Cut and paste the following rating system for how you've currently got yours set up :

    Racket Spec - 3UG4
    Strings - BG80
    Tension - 24lbs Main / 23lbs Cross
    Player Level - 3.5/10 (1 being "I just started", 5 being A-Grade State-level club player, 10 being top 50 in the world)
    Offense - 7/10
    Defense - 6/10
    Power - 7.5/10
    Touch - 5/10

I'm going to restring mine with Ashaway PG66 at 23lbs to see if I can improve it's touch and short game.

I'm hoping that this will help various players of all different abilities help set theres' up, because I think this is a racket that needs careful set-up to eek out it's potential.

Mine (purchased only on 5th OCT)

Racket Spec - 3UG4, SP version
Strings - BG65 (winter coming to Beijing. BG66/80 will snap fast in winter)
    Tension - 29lbs
Player Level - 3.7/10 (BSR 5.7, been playing socially for 20 years, as alternative gauge)
    Offense - 9.5/10
    Defense - 6/10
    Power - 9.5/10
    Touch - 6/10

Hope this helps. I only uses this baby for around 7 hours of play so far. Still need plenty of getting used to, in my opinion. (I can adapt to my LN N55 and Zelm Trixon 8 in less than 3 hours respectively)

    Cheers

Easy Tiger, do you mean 23/24? The way you have it stringed sounds like you want to turn your racket into a ball!

    Only practice for 15 mins...

    Like Indiana Jones's whip
    "Player with the new Arc"

Shaft is flexible but power is good.
    Need some time for adjustment.

    Hope it pays off!

actually in Kim dong moon competing years, he string his racket at higher tension for the main strings than the crosses.

That's true, but Kim is professional - that's a different story since he can get free rackets. Can't exactly tell how good it is for the racket however over time.

Just love the racket ! it's brilliant! I like it with basic grip. I tried a towel grip but the smash is less powerful.

why do you guys all have 3U, lol

Racket Spec - 2UGx (dunno, as I always tear off the original grip and add my own directly to the wood)
Strings - tried BG66@30, snapped in 10 mins, tried BG85@30, snapped after 1 week, will probably try BG85@28 next
    Player Level - 3.5/10 (1 being "I just started", 5 being A-Grade State-level club player, 10 being top 50 in the world)

We have 3U because that's all that was available. It's heavy enough as it is.

    Offense - 6/10

    Offense - 8/10

    time spent about 4-6 hrs
    Racket Spec - 3UG4
    Strings - BG95
    Tension - 28lbs
    Player Level - 1-2/10
    Offense - 9/10
    Defense - 7/10
    Power - 8.5/10
    Touch - 8/10

    arc10 (played for a year)
    String- BG98 @ 27 lbs
    Offense - 9/10
    Defense - 8/10
    Power - 8/10
    Touch - 8/10

if i cant take it anymore ( subjective feeling of loss of power) i will cut the strings from the zslash and go to BG98 @26 lbs, otherwise i will wait for the strings to break. i feel arc10 is better defense wise while zslash has more potential for power.

I find this string much better than the NBG95 which I previously had on!

Jaha yeahh touches and control are way better! Though I think there is a slight decrease in power/offense. However the improvement in touch/control is huge.

I would recommend the NBG98. Have you restrung yours already?

It is because 3U is the common weight available. The 2U is available mainly to the Japan (JP coded) market - it would have to be imported to obtain it.
