    Sound like FUN.

    1) If your a male, can your partner be a female?
    2) Is this a MX partner, or doesn't matter gender?
    3) Is everyone ranking starts out EQUAL on 1st season? "Only 1 open level"
    4) Is this badminton ladders for Everyone of all levels of playing?
    5) If you don't have a partner, can we pick from the list?

    1. After certain number of seasons, we'll have enough players to split them into different levels and gender. MD/MX/WD can play against each other 1st season.
    2. Doesn't matter MX or Doubles. It depends on their Skill level.
    3. 1st season enable the Novice against the Super A.
    4. Yes! Since ABC already have a bunch of Recreational and Intermediate level. I think it should be time to raise their level by playing a little more serious tournaments.
    5. For those without partners, they can submit their names and we'll do the Matching. I'll also try a new self-declare Ranking System like Tennis.

The Ladder system is very popular in Tennis Club. And as you can see, players usually form a group of their own and this can let different players meet against someone they may not know.

This is just an experiment. If it works, then we will keep it going. One beautiful thing for this Ladder - it's a long-term tournament, players can stop for a while if they r busy. But their rankings will fall if stop playing. It's similar to a League system. As most of the weekend tournaments here in USA, the Champ may not be the best in skill but the best in stamina.

So in this system, players wouldn't spend too much energy. Some can even play on next day. This is very popular in Asia. As u can see from the recent US Open, Taufik only play 1 match per night.

We can go snacks, late big dinner or beer after play. I think this is good for Life.

Anyone have any input will be welcome.

Yes it will have flyers and Players can sign up at ABC soon. But for now, best is to sign up at badmintonladders.com. If the group is big, then I'll split them. It should be fun. Make friends, eat, sweat and have some souvenirs. I have a system that keep track of all the Scores and Presence of Players.

This is very interesting! I'm going to have to heal up quick to try this out with the rest of the ABC community.

The Ladder System is very popular in Tennis Club and it doesn't have to be rush finished over a weekend. So players can play their best. Besides, if players are busy, get hurt or out of the area, they can be suspended for a while. And they'll feel good if they see their rank climbing up just like Dow Jones Index.

Most important is by playing in Badminton Ladder, you can make a lot of friends (mostly good ones) and have some good time.

The 1st season will just like a League. All participants will play against each and every team thru out the whole season. The season can be 3-6 months. And will have a Season Finale Dinner and Prizes.

Since Rudy Pramana is putting his Birdievent.com which really help identify the ability the Players Ranking which we really need here. Because in USA, if you r not an active Tournament and USAB Members, you won't have a ranking. The Birdievent.com enables all recreational level to have their Universal Rankings in order to have a fair competition if they ever play any recreational tournaments in the future.

So please locate a Partner right now and have him/her to play for the whole season. Because in this Ladder, you r not allowed to change Partner.
