Hey, I was wondering what type of music you guys listen to. understand that most of you live on the other side of the world. But still, what do you listen to? Is there a specific tune that gets you pumped up before a big game? we used to practice with music in the background, but we later got rid of it. i kinda like Eminem's new song "lose yourself" cause it gets me motivated, perhaps i'll play with it sometime. What about you?

nice jchen, however my connection is so slow that it's depressing to even think about downloading songs. :(

Musics depends on the mood, most of the stuff I listen to are asian music (chinese, korean, and japanese mainly.) Usually it's love ballads like jchen have mentioned, other times it would be the more upbeat dance, club, techno, kinda music.

Hey paul u mentioned that Eminem song, is that the title track to the new "8 miles" movie? That song is pretty good, very motivating.

Any song with lyrics that appeal to me. I'm one of those ppl who listen very closely to the lyrics. I would say words mean a lot more to me than most music listeners. As such, I dun listen to anything that I can't understand. No Japanese or Korean even though that's the rage in Singapore these days. I stick to Chinese or English - most of the time, I can memorize the lyrics of a song that I listen to repeatedly. And then I write them down when I am supposed to be doing other things (like paying attn to a lecture... haha).

I like depressing songs, probably because I'm morose by nature. I love to cry and cry when I listen to my MP3s, which makes me sound psycho.

lol adel! yea lyrics mean something to me.. especially when they have a message (good or bad, i just use my discretion) and mad literary/rhyming skills.

white washed? its a term for Asian (in my case, Chinese) who has lived in N. America for too long and starts acting White. lol. no offense to anyone. oh, and i'm slowly changing back :p

No offense too, but here are some others I've heard:

FOB = Fresh Off the (immigration) Boat
    - Asians/Asian immigrants in USA who behave like they never left

Twinkie = Bread that's yellow on the outside but white on the inside
    - FOB-ish response to being called a FOB (my Korean friend taught me this)

    Kentang/Keng Chio Kia
    - Malay for "potato" and Hokkien which literally translates into "banana kid". The same as a twinkie: yellow exterior but white interior

Okay, I just wrote this for fun but if for any reason, anyone is offended, Moderators - pls feel free to delete.

Well, I'm european, Electronic Music of course. :D

Thousands of artists and releases. It already takes up *way* too much of my time and life. Maybe I should devote a litte more time to badminton instead. :)
