I have several rackets, and i have different grips on them. I'm doing a little experiment right now to find a suitable and economical one.

Prince tennis grip, chopped off to badminton length. It's very tacky, performs well when sweaty and is quite durable - in the next week or so I will make my second replacement in a one year period of playing twice a week.

I also prefer these. I use the red "ripple" grip, an over-grip. Very good tacky feel if you don't wrap it too hard.

Sorry May, this isn't about being tacky but i thought id say that those types of grips that you can buy with the plastic layer over are really good. Just peel off the plastic layer and tape it down, their great, Yonex make them, Patrick make them and Yang Yang also do. Their also cheap and durable grips as well.

Its hard to explain, its got a shiny plastic layer over the grip that you peel off before you apply the grip. Its hard to explain but its the best i can do......

A grip that seems to stick to your hand is often
    referred to as being 'tacky'.

I find Yonex synthetic grips wear out rather fast, however I like their feel. Nice control, and absorbs shock, good for the arm. If you want a more economical solution, use a tennis grib. I'm using a Wilson Cusion Aire on my cheap Winex raquet, and that thing lasts forever, and it's very comfy too. However, tennis grips are more bulky, hence you lose the 'feel' of the raquet. That's why I just stick to the Yonex grips and change them every month or so.
