    Default Gosen Gungnir

Visited the Gosen website tonight and saw that there are two new racquets out, the Gungnir Alpha and Beta. The Gosen facebook page provides more information, and their chart suggests that the are balanced/head light and "hard feeling" (stiff?).

While head light racquets aren't really my thing, superficially at least, these are fantastic looking racquets. Apparently out in June...wait, that's NOW!

Yes, I thought so too, but more vibrant. Looking at the price it seems it may be their flagship head light series.

    Haha, that would've been cooler.

Gungnir sounds like some kind of norwegian vampire from a game.

Anymore specs on these bad boys?

    According to some Japanese testing,
the swing weight of the Gungnir Alpha is just similar to 4u NR800,
While the Gungnir Beta is similar to Ryoga Tenbu

The Beta is more to my tastes too.

I think their website said 24000+tax or something. Maybe about 100+?

Gungnir is a 80 holes racquet! Which i believe is better control racquet. I have tried one in Australia when I was playing in my group and some GOSEN retailer come by and do a road show. The smashing power is good for beta (they put on one of their new G-TONE 9 string as well, the sound was excellent!) , haven't got a chance to play the Alpha yet but my friend got one from them, so may try them out next week when I play with him XP

Thanks a lot for your comment. Is it possible to compare it with, let's say, Customedge type x or v?
