For the life of me, why did Yonex ever discontinue the Ti10 or Victor the stiff BS10?

Just noticed this thread, should have picked up a BS10 it seems. But I'll settle for the BS LYD N. I wonder how it compares to the old LYD. Hopefully less heavy overall this time around.

It was going to be either the ARC11 or BSLYDN but I can't resist high swing weight with an aerodynamic frame. =)

BS10 was also used before by JJS, Lee YD, Lee Sheng Mu, Fang Chieh Min, etc.

Where did this measurement of 673mm come from for the mk1? I've got the mk2 and hoping to buy two more mk1. They've been measured at 675+.

I also read that mk2 doesn't make so much swishy noises but it makes plenty for me.

I love how this frame encourages a condensed hitting action. So fast! I don't really miss the extra oomph from MX60 on my smash when every other shot is improved. Well, still adjusting my dropshots... So much for my search for flexy and HH 8-)

I've seen JJS use it briefly but never saw LYD use it. Must have been quite a short stint...

When you'll get used to it and be able to bend the shaft, you will have more power than with the MX60.

Is there any racket close to exactly like BS 10 4U? I'm looking for the sword frame with the same stiffness and balance point

They discontinue them, but they will later repaint the same exact spec bs10 and rename it to trick people to buy new rackets. Even though the racket is exactly the same thing in term of weight, stiffness, and BP.

    Same thing with At900 > Voltric 80

No idea how that logic comes about. VT80 and AT900P may be similar in specifications but I'm pretty sure the materials are not. They may cater to similar types of play styles and players who like that spec but they're certainly not the same 'repainted' thing. As for your query regarding the most similar racket ot the BS10 that's out now it would be the JS10.

What a lousy comparison! The AT line has a different feeling from the VT line. I, for one, really prefer my old AT compared to the VT line. Plus, the VT80 has a short handle and long shaft while the AT900 has a long handle with a short shaft.

I really liked the BS10. I'm glad I got it earlier this year when I did because it's been discontinued for what seems to be awhile now but some retailers still had it. If I had known it was this good, I would have bought another one. Instead, I hedged my bets and bought BS10 and BSLHI to see which one would suit me better and the BS10 came out on top so I sold BSLHI. I think I'll be sticking with BS10 for awhile. It's the racket I go to now when I want to win and I wish I had another as back up.

One shop here in Quebec City got some BS10 a few months ago. I don't know where they found them but I'm sure you could find another 1.
