    Dear Moderators,

May I suggest that we have threads to discuss officiating and the rule book (ie. umpire decisions, line judging, interpretation of the rule book etc), whether in international tournaments or whatever local ones attended by any BC forummer?

Take for example, Irish Umpire Car UL Fherghail's (hope I spelt it right) decision to call for a let instead of giving a point to Malaysian MD at 15-16 in the 3rd game of last nite's Denmark Super Series final when the shuttle was caught by the opposing player on the wrong side of the court. Also the decision of the Tournament Referee not to intervene despite calls by the Malaysian bench and players.

Not to flame the umpiring and judging ala Sir Alex Ferguson in his team's defeat to Liverpool, of course. Just to understand the reasoning and logic. We've been discussing tournaments, players and sportswear/equipment, but not so much the officiating and rule interpretations.

    Thank you.
