2009 French Open SS - Day 3: Joachim Persson vs Simon Santoso

    .
You'll still need to stay later than I need to. :p:p:p

For me, I am interested in this one:
11:10 am - Joachim PERSSON [6][IMG][DEN] vs [IMG][INA] Simon SANTOSO

Joachim Persson [6] vs Simon Santoso -- as a newly-crowned SS title winner, I will expect Simon to at least challenge Lin Dan in the QF.

Mohd Hafiz Hashim vs Taufik Hidayat [4] -- Taufik should beat Yoyo Hashim.

Bao Chunlai vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro [5] -- I don't think Sony can beat Bao today.

    MD R16
Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [1] vs Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata -- another Japanese opposition today and hopefully similar results like yesterday.

Chris Langridge/Robin Middleton vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan -- I think Bona/Ahsan can progress to the QF and face Boe/Mogensen.

    WS R16
Tine Rasmussen [4] vs Adriyanti Firdasari -- a victory for Tine.

    WD R16
Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii [8] vs Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda -- it will be a huge upset if Nitya/Grace can beat Suetsuna/Maeda.

Jenny Wallwork/Gabrielle White vs Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [6] -- it will be unacceptable if Mel/Shendy are to lose.

    XD R16
Hendra A. Gunawan/Vita Marissa [7] vs Fran Kurniawan/Pia Zebadiah Bernadet -- two all INA matches today and the senior pairs should prevail.

Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita vs Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [2] --see above.

some other matches we need to watch too:
Olga needs to work hard to create a big surprise, hopefully she can beat that new CN-Wang star:eek: guess her chance to get to tomorrow's battles is much better in XD:confused: anyway, would be nice if she can send 3 Chinese back home today:D:D
Nath seems to have an easy task for today, not wasting energy in XD creates the chance for another surprise next days:eek: we gotta watch it:D

no news, today I'm not supporting Mr. Yoyo, Taufik needs to get full support, I wanna see him on top at the end of the week:rolleyes:

Wow, sorry for INA fans !

I was in Paris yesterday and i noticed that the crowd LOVES Taufik, but others Indonesians aren't known here :(

For Badmania, i'm not really sure that Simon Santoso will beat JP. His match yesterday against Sho Sasaki was really hard !

Since Mark Zwibler is out and Misha Zilbermann is not playing I find lesser intersting matches left:D:D
Joachim vs Simon (Simon Simon Simon:), Joachim is lucky not to lose in first round itself)
Hashim vs Sir Taufik (who dares play against you Sir???)
Bao vs Soni (could be any of them)
Tine vs Adrianti (Go Tine!! Adrianti becoming all too inconsistent)
Saina vs Yip (Saina following on Adrianti's footsteps, but should still win this)

Super Dan, Lu Lan, Jin Chen and Lin Wang will as usual make mince meat of their opponents :D:D

BTW does Olga have a chance???;)

For singles Olga has the chance of the underdog, this time it's very small:eek:
The mixed match today seems to be easier, but what is easy for an underdog:confused:
the other topic, who ever plays vs CN team member deserves our full support:cool: (as long as Gao Ling doesn't return , she would be the exception of that general rule:cool:)
So let's cheer the underdogs together, that's our task here :D:D:D

Persson took 8 straight pts from 2-4 to 10-4 in game 2! Now 11-5, interval.
