I just want to add that badminton can save your life.

A gentlemen in his 40's at the place where I play actually had a minor case of heart attack the night after he played some badminton. He said that he had some chest pain but it wasn't too serious, but he went to the doctor to have it checked. He told the doctor that he was playing badminton, and the doctor told him that badminton saved his life. Because he was playing, it forced the heart to pump blood through the arteries/veins in his legs or that it helped the circulation. I'm not so sure about the details. The point is that, the doctor told him that by playing badminton at that time, it prevented his heart attack from being fatal.

@Fanatic - It's true that the overall of people playing will be majorly improved. THere's a guy who plays at our club who's 70 and in very good health. He struggles with his knees a bit but apart from that very good overall health. I hope I can be that fit and healthy at 70!

Badminton is quite simply one of the most awesome sports

    Love item no.10. :):):)

    " 10. Skills
Whilst also learning to hit the shuttle at speeds that would even make a red Ferrari blush and resemble a slug, you will also develop the softest touch. You will be able to just drop the shuttle over the net so it trickles over and hits the ground quicker than your opponent can say ‘ZOIKS SCOOBY’! Just check this clip of Peter Gade and his legendary trick shot. So COOL!
    "

It's also amazing to watch players diving (like a goalkeeper) to prevent the shuttlecock from hitting their court. And then still able to continue the rally while laying flat on the floor.
