Will tension affect raquet weight.

    Hi i was wondering if tension effects the raquet weight.:)

    Logically a few nanograms would be spared by the shorter length of string needed, but that surely couldn't be felt. :rolleyes:
    I'm no stringer but I wonder what the savings in length of string needed for every couple pounds of extra tension.

    I for one never bothered to measure. But for sure I can string a racket with 9m of string instead of 10 if carefully measured out.

    I'd guess that between 20 and 33 lbs, both prestretched, there is less than three inches of difference between the amounts of string in the frame. If you put a three inch bit of string in the middle of the stringbed I doubt you'd notice:).
