Anyone ever heard of this brand? I stumbled on it thanks to my gmail. They seem to use 30T H.M. graphite for their rackets, and the specs looks decent. What made me laugh is they have ArcSaber 9, 10 and a Nanospeed 9900, the NS9900 clearly a clone. Their website is http://www.fangcan.com/ I may buy a few just to check em out, with such low prices.
Also I was taking a close look at all the specs, and they all seem to be the same. 3U, same stiffness, same materials, etc. I'd email them, but I only just started learning mandarin so I couldn't ask more than what their name is and have a conversation about what we like to do for fun.
hahaha, seems like you like to develop a "long term relationship" with your supplier, in this case - Fangcan i DON'T have ArcSaber or Nanospeed, so i guess i don't own any of their clones i remember they have a series - Supermodel i mean Supermodel ? muahahahaha
DK5 the playstyle is almost similar to Kason F9. Built for smashing. Large frame similar to F9 however the DK5 frame is less aerodynamic therefore slower for defense/drives but better in smashing. Material and build quality feels better than most low end Apacs/Fleet rackets. I also have the DK6100 model but if I'm buying their rackets all over again I would go for the Fangcan n90iii or n90ii models.
Ok, time to post... I have been playing with Darkness knight 5 for a while. It is a good racket, light, it is not so powerful as it should be in the description, but it is good enough for a player as myself. I don't have much power in my hits, so... I am satisfied. I have just stringed it myself and I am so happy with the ease of stringing. It has few extra holes at the top, so less shared grommets is wow :-D Also, some shared grommets are wide enough for 2 strings (I used 0.7mm string). here are some photos:
Hi all, What do you all think of the Fangcan rackets? quality and performance? I recently see the Dark King 5 and the N90 /3 If compare to Yonex, Victor or Apacs what are these like?
I've seen many fangcan racket few years back, got one and strung it right at the shop (26lbs) and before i pay cash, the head racket distorted by itself. The shop owner immediately replace it with new one, strung it for 24lbs and good to go. The tension recommended on the racket was 30lbs. It was a clone between arcsaber 9 and gosen that was used by bonsaak ponsana. I used once, and until then the racket is as good as new and been resting forever. I wish i had bought arcsaber 9 instead of this cloning wannabe. and that's my opinion from few years back.
It depends on the price. If you can get it cheap - buy it. If the price is similar to yonex, buy yonex. Fangcan rackets I have are much more flexible then yy. The thing I have notised - not the same quality betwen two of the same rackets. Similar, but not the same.
honestly one cannot compare these 2 rackets On one hand where a good yonex rackets costs more than 5000 inr on the other hand a good fangcan racket costs only 2500 inr My friend has a fangcan racket and he got it for 1500 inr its equally good as any other yonex racket which is worth 5000 inr but it is not equally as sturdy as a 5000 inr yonex racket
I believe that they are a china brand in origin; I see their racquet head frame protector products for sale on aliexpress but not racquets. Personally I would label the brand as a write off. If budget is a concern, i'd be looking instead into Apacs or Prospeed (an obscure, old brand but has solid design and construction principles) but bear in mind that certain mid tier Yonex racquets such as the DG10 are literally Yonex made clones of their own ZF2; I've also seen Voltric 80's go for as low as $120 SGD during sales. To put things into perspective, I paid: $55 for a 24T Apacs W180 training racquet, $150 for a 30T shaft, 40T frame Apacs Lethal 70 $135 for a Yonex ZF2 unknown carbon grade but assumed to be high $100 for a Yonex DG10 , unknown carbon grade but assumed to be high I still find it funny that my Prospeed racquet is not listed on the entire internet, yet it has the thickest, chunkiest, most solid frame compared to my current racquets.
I have a Fangcam N90 III, and it's actually a decent racquet at the price I bought for($45 CAD). 3U, head heavy that is fairly stiff and with a slim shaft. I only had it for a short period of time so I can't judge the durability, but no paint scratches so far. I would say it's better than a lot of mid range Voltric racquets that yonex sells. However, it probably doesn't compare to the high end Yonex racquets.
