Hi all, Last Tuesday (27-Oct-2009), I was the only one playing with apacs in my team; we are about 10 players. Yesterday (03-Nov-2009), one week after, we were 4 playing with apacs. Four of us left the Yonex in the bag :crying: to use apacs. And this is only in my team... I don't know about the other teams, most probably the same is happening. Apacs is taking over in Mauritius and I am planning to sell them abroad at the Mauritian price.Keep you posted Until then Live hard, Work Hard and Play Hard
Wrong place to post Dude Nice information there bro, but this is not the correct thread to post this. Moderators...
i'll surf the apacs wave soon!!! didmon, what model r u using and whats the feel??? would be great if you could post a review in this thread.
I'm using Lethal 70, check http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77035 I will keep us posted
Although APACS are certainly very good rackets and offer a good quality/price ratio i think in all fairness Didier we should try to avoid too much of YONEX bashing.YONEX like CARLTON make fine rackets too but they are expensive and the brands are not represented or badly represented in Mauritius.I myself currently play with a Carlton Fireblade Tour which i find excellent but I have also purchased an APACS Edgesaber7 which i also find excellent for doubles and am looking forward to buying a Tantrum 300 and Visible Hollow 1800 when they are available here .APACS thanks to the efforts of it's agent in Mauritius, his marketing skills and competitive prices is on course to capturing more and more market share but let's not burn what we adored yesterday and after all let's not forget that it's the player that makes the racket not the other way round
no bashing!!! hey, philes. we are not bashing yy :crying:. we are just saying that apacs is as good as yy. well, maybe some models may be better than yy . i have myself been using yy for 10yrs now and i'm switching to apacs altough i would love to own hi - end yy or carltons. i hope that the new competitor on the mauritian market will help in reducing yy and carlton prices. by the way do you know a place where i can get carlton vapour trail in mtius. the BC mauritian population is growing (finally) cheers.
Hello Jockey Emcar in Bell Village used to represent Carlton but they have stopped importing the brand and unfortunately you can no longer get any higher end Carlton rackets in Mauritius. The only option is to order from overseas through internet and you can do it through this website http://www.tennisnuts.com/shopscr224.html but postage is a bit expensive Amongst the rackets that i play with is the Carlton Fireblade Tour and can say only good things about it.I had contemplated asking a travelling friend to bring a Vapour Trail Tour for me but then i opted out because of the price and the reviews failed to convince me that it was better than the Fireblade which now sells some GBP 30 cheaper than the Vapour trail Regards
No bashing here Come on Philes .... I am not bashing yonex nor any other brand, I am just writing on the trend. Nothing more. Just to clear out things. I am still playing my muscle power 22.
Hi jockey I have only played with the Edgesaber 7 twice but it's a good doubles racket-medium flex with excellent control and although it's not head heavy the smashes are still powerful enough -This being said and without being pretentious the smash was and is still i hope one of the shots that i play best but i now try to avoid playing with head heavy rackets like the Amortec 700 because i had started developing a golfers elbow which is soreness in the inside of the elbow. The Edge Saber 7 and the Carlton Fireblade Tour for that matter are not head heavy and excellent rackets for doubles delivering both power ,control and agility in defense. The only negative point about the Edgesaber 7 is it's colour which is a bit dull and not as sexy and appealing as the Lethal 70 for example. But any way who cares about looks when the job is being done
keep it up koolsan!!! looks like you're doing a great job out there.....APACS is really lucky to have you as agent
