I never had a problem with my racquet grip size before... they have always been the same size, the only size I see the stores carrying. Lately, I tried a racquet with a huge handle size (no overgrip) that must have been at least double my handle's width. It felt so comfortable! I don't want to have the "rounded" feeling without the hexagonal bevel.

What should i look for in a overgrip, and how many can I put on? Can I just put a new replacement grip on top of the current grip? Thx.

    Hi,

The way to find out the grip size to have is simple. Put your thump and incex finger around the handle so they join. You can then see the distance between your palm and your fingers. So, get a grip that, when you do it again, it fits in the whole created by the joining index and thumb but so it can still twist a little in the hole.

    Thanks Matt.

Looks like I'll need to put on 5 or 6 overgrips to get it that big! The overgrips I saw in the store I went to seem to be pretty flat to me. Is it ok to use tennis overgrips? Its all they have.

just a word of caution bigredlemon... with grip size that big, you lose power. But on the good side, you gain control.

    Hi,

I wouldnt suggest lots of overgrips. What i would suggest is to take the grip off, and replace it with, maybe, the Karakal cushy grip. This has a nice layer of thick padding that will hopefully solve your problem.
