http://www.2009eastasiangames.hk/en/index.html Early December, anyone have more info on it? It looks like China Japan and Mongolia are sending their full arsenal of players. Should be fun to watch.
Wow, I have nearly forgotten this event. CHN team squad Bao Chunlai Cai Yun Chen Jin Chen Long Fu Haifeng Guo Zhengdong He Hanbin Lin Dan Xu Chen Zheng Bo Cheng Shu Du Jing Jiang Yanjiao Lu Lan Ma Jin Wang Lin Wang Xiaoli Wang Yihan Yu Yang Zhao Yunlei
Zhang Yawen is not in the list. :crying: Miss her in action. :crying: I hope she can find a good partner.
interesting to know if CHN will send their players to the SS finals that finish on the 6th Dec with only 2 days rest before the start of the East Asian Games on the 9th.
Similar thread below.. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60767 (mods to merge?) With the event happening in early December, i guess we can kiss goodbye the participation of CHN, KOR, JPN, HK players in the upcoming SSMF. Or will there be some notable names, from the aforementioned countries, competing in the SSMF invitation tourney??..
I haven't even bothered with tickets for this event. Instead I have tickets for Wushu and rugby sevens.
Yes, China will definitely send their top stars to HK. It shows political support. I think SSfinals will also see the China players playing. East Asian games should not be too strenuous...
Might be a wise choice. All matches for china players will only be a training match for them and they can choose when to whitewash their opponent
Exactly. However, tickets for the badminton was sold out very quickly on the 1st day. Shows how popular badminton is in HK. We really need a bigger venue than the QE stadium for badminton. However, the intimacy is very good.
don't think so since no trick shooters there they all do prepare for SS finals and chinese don't do that at all
