@tommy_bun, you might want to install openOffice suit, it is free and available for
windows, linux and macos...

Xie XingFang has entered 12 SS finals, winning only 6 titles;

Zhang Ning has entered 5 SS finals, winning only 2 titles.

Zhang YaWen's SS results :

3 titles and 2 R/U with Wei YiLi;
4 tiltles with Zhao TingTing;
1 title with Pan Pan

That's 8 WD titles in Super Series...the best so far........

also, a filter (cell A1 in green with drop down menu) is added for the individual event results for 2007, 2008.. last12 tournaments and 'All' etc.

the file is compressed (due to the 200k attachment limitation) without password, just hit OK when unzip.

Currently none of my laptops (OpenOffice, MS Office 2002, 2003) can
handle xlsx format.
I have no intention to upgrade to M$ Office 2007.
Did a quick google search, there are conversion routines available.
Tried one, didn't work for me. Unless the latest OpenOffice support
xlsx format, it is a dead end for me.

the problem is the forum's 200k attachment limit. for some reason the xlsx is much compact with only about 25% of the xls version. but the forum don't accept the xlsx format therefore I posted the zipped version.

now, attached is the 2 parts version of the xls file. hope this work.

Will you continue post xls format in the future?
I like the latest xls format file that total count frame stays on top
of page and the rest of file just scrolling under, pretty cool!

I also tried the xlsx format with the latest OpenOffice 3.1 and
got input/format error with 2007 excel filter selected.
I won't bother further with xlsx file if xls will be available.

yes sure i'll post only xls in future until it's getting too big.

ZYW is a real genius in doubles, winning titles with whoever partnered her... pity that she could not have a regular partner like KL/WS or YW/ZJW, otherwise she could be at the top of WD ranking and grab more major titles including more SS titles....

this concluded the first 3 years of SS. the winners for 2009 are,

MS - LD with 4 titles from 6 t'ments and LCW also with 4 titles from 10 t'ments. between the 2 of them they took 2/3 that were available.
WS - WYH with 5 titles.
MD - LYD/JJS with 4 titles.
WD - MJ/WXL with 3 titles but the real winner is ZYW's 4 titles with 3 different partners ZTT, PP and QT. plus the world champion with QTT of course.
XD - ZB/MJ with 3 titles.

Overall, CHN won 29 out of the 60 titles in 2009. not quite half of them but they didn't played in the first 2 t'ments of the year!

... so CHN effectively won 29 out of the 50 titiles (10 SSs), that's 58% success rate...

that's about right for CHN to win 3 in a tourament is a norm. but not to forget that CHN didn't sent their first team to INA and DEN opens that made it even more impressive.
