I was suprised, too! Since 2008 they are always on the list "having won the most MD titles of the year".
Next season will be interesting! LCW should dominate the MS (many fights with CL I believe until LD comes back), WS by LXR and WY (behind the field is quite open with SN,JS,IR,TB,WSX...), MX by MJ/XC, ZN/ZY, JFN/CP, maybe TA/LN and GL/CPS. MD will be very interesting with MB/CM, KKK/TBH, CY/FHF, KSH/LYD, BI/MJ, KSR/KKJ... (depends also on how many tournaments BoMo and Fu/cai will/can play)

It is really quite telling that on the MS page, only 3 players who have ever entered the final of a SS qualified to play in this year's SSF, and two of them never got past the group stages. Changing of the guards, really.

Edit: Oops seems like that isn't really the case. Can I ask how are the players chosen to be represented in the data?

LYD/JJS are definitely the most prolific MD for the last decade. I’m sure the regret must be that ever elusive Olympics gold for JJS, so near and yet so far.

What I meant is how do you choose which players to feature on the individual data sheets (MS, MD, etc). I had thought it was on the basis of whether they entered a SS final, but then I realised that DPY isn't inside...
