Clashed in the middle while both going for the smash on a half-court lift by opponents. Disappointed. Only 7 or so months old. Already shouted "mine!!!" but partner still swung. Was already in position to smash.
please accept my deepest condolence to you and to your Arc 7 how about your partner's racket? broken as well?
Ouch that's too bad. Just happens sometimes and it's pretty hard to stop mid swing even if someone calls for it. Personally, for smashes I always let the forehand side get it in the middle. Even if it drops, all you lose is a point, not a racket. Gives you a reason to get a new racket though... z slash?
i was already in position. partner (left-handed) played a shot to the net but still moved back for some reason. and i shouted "mine". nothing happened to partner's racket. maybe paint chip, no idea, didn't bother to check as i was too annoyed. is the z slash any good? does it offer the same kind of control and feel the arc7 does?
Yep, I can understand the annoyed part. The Z slash is a good racket, can't tell how good until I get more than 10 minutes with it (just tried a buddies Z but I do have a couple coming). Not sure how it would compare to the 7 though as I've never tried the 7, only the 10. Really like the 10 though.
i find playing with a left-hander (i'm right-handed) the most dangerous scenario for badminton racquets, especially when shots get played down the middle. it's hard to decide who should go for it unless you've played together for some time.
so lesson learnt ppl... run when u see ur partner moving back for a smash... no point being so committed if it is jus a normal game
