Wow, interesting... I wish Israel and Indonesia can just be friends [politically] so that our players can compete there legally...

A little OOT: if RI #1 dares to do that (establish relationship with Israel gov't), I wanna see how the people will respond.

..(a lot to do with what you wrote in post #5)..Anyway, INA not supportive of ISR because of that is somewhat a head-scratcher, isn't it??..

From my point of view, nothing. Not to us, though, to one of their neighbor, actually (just like what dorysan says). And [politically], INA is an ally of their neighbor. So?

Personally, I have no problem if any Israeli athletes come to play in Indonesia...

You're very welcome to come here and compete... [just take care of your entrance pass somehow, hehehe ] Every year we have:
    • 9 National Circuits, 4+ Tournaments held by private sponsors... all have U-19 competition for BS-GS-BD-GD-XD...
    • 1 formal BWF Junior tournament [Tangkas Alfamart Indonesia Junior International]...
    • 1 unofficial tournament just for MD held by Candra Wijaya...
International players are welcome to join any of the tournaments I mention above.

Beware... If you don't eat in a clean dining place, you might get stomach ache and become unable to play afterwards...

Soccer is the top sport viewed, played, and followed in INA too. But we're just not good at it... Badminton is the #2 most viewed and played... we tend to do pretty good in Badminton...

That's the thing, Chris... Israel didn't do anything to Indonesia, Indonesia didn't do anything to Israel either.......

Exactly! That's exactly the same reason why Indonesia & Israel do not have any diplomatic relationship. Because it is 'popular' for INA politicians to side with the Palestinians... 'Unpopular' to side with Israel...

    Yup. Agree...

I believe one day Israel and Indonesia will shake hands and as symbolic friendly gestures, Israel & Indonesia can have several sports matches in 3 different sports:
    • 1 soccer match between the respective national teams; Israel should win.
    • 5 badminton matches in badminton [in Sudirman Cup format]; Indonesia should win.
    • 10 more match in atletics [100 m dash men-women, 4x100m relay, men-women, 400 m dash men-women, 5000 m middle distance men-women, Marathon-run men-women]; I've no idea who will win, both Israel and Indonesia are not that good at athletics... then it should be fun, hehehe...
