Shoes tend to be very personal due to everyone having slightly different feet. Try them on and leave them on in the store for 10-15 minutes and make sure they are comfortable.

If you choose Asics then Gel Blade 2 is the best. Those shoes have been designed for indoor sport, especially for badminton.

Yet you should pay attention at instep level. Indeed those shoes tend to be a bit narrow in this area. I have this model for years and i love it.

I've tried a few Asics shoes on and it all depends on your feet as they are all a different shape and all our feet are different so one cannot say that a particular model is the best just by specs. Sure, the Blade 2 was designed with badminton in mind but they are the narrowest of the Asics indoor range. The Rocket is a fairly heavy feeling shoe and for me was too stiff albeit hugged my feet very well and were comfortable for walking. Blade 2 are a very soft shoe and the front of them feels a little similar to the Yonex 101 range in that the front of your foot can feel the floor which is good if you like that kind of thing. Don't know about the Tactics as i've not tried them on.

For me, the best were Blast 2 but they are harder to find now. The Blast 3 are very stiff and i wouldn't really recommend them.

I had my heart set on the new Yonex 200 as the concensus is that they are great for wide feet. Not the case if you are wide in the front of your foot as they will feel tight.

Whatever you do ilovecharvin, don't buy them without trying them on first!!

for now I'm using the Asics Blade 2 and they are very comfortable and light to play. I have a large foot but nevertheless, it's playing just fine.
I'm looking for other shoes as I want to break the limitation of badminton stuff here. We only can find Yonex, Yonex, Carlton, Babolat, Victor, Wilson and Yonex. I'm sick of this Yonex brand seeing everywhere.

Has anybody Apacs shoes or Li-ning and have some positive info?

Wearing Asics Gel Blade 2 here also. I tried Gel Rocket 4 and felt it's not as wide and too high off the ground compare to the Blade 2.

Here are the Asics badminton range in Japan:

Actually I have the gel rocket on the left upper corner.

he he, should have written a review it. :D

Long story short, gel rocket has great cushioning and very durable soles.

However, I personally feel the shoes is slightly 'heavy' when standing on the balls of your feet. Furthermore there's no ventilation under the sole, so sweat builds up and feels 'hot'.

If you can afford, go for gel Blade 2 or Gel sensei 2. They are designed specifically for badminton. They have 'holes' under the sole for ventilation and is low on the ground.

I believe it's not available in Singapore, but you can buy them from Pertama Kompleks KL.

    Cheers.

Sorry to say it, but Gel Sensei 2 are designed as volleyball shoes primarily. They are excellently cushioned but heaviest from Asics indoor shoe product line. I use them for more than 2 years. Contrary to them, Gel Blade 2 are designed as court shoes - lighter, agile, thinner sole. My light:) wife is using them now. You need to choose according to your personal needs.
From the web mentioned above look at Gel Blast 2. Excellent indoor shoes. I think some Danish reps are using them. I´m thinking about them also...

Wow? really it's out for 2 years already. I must be out of touch.

There are 2 versions of gel Sensei, low cut at the ankle and the high cut ones.

Keep us updated when you try on the Gel Blast 2. :D

You were lucky to get hold of them!! They have been discontinued for a while now. Hope you like them.

Be warned that it may take a few sessions for your feet to settle into them. First time i wore mine, my feet were aching but they are OK now.

I find my gel blade II very light but the cushioning is not that fantastic. Have a look at the Gel Tactic if you're looking for a pair of badminton shoes with good cushioning.

I have the Blade 2 from last year and I must say that they're light and really good for the feet. The demping is losing after 1 year and playing intensively.

Maybe take the Tactic. I'll take them this year

I just bought the Blade3 and I like them very much. The side of the shoes is reinforced and that's good for me.
