Who do you think? What youngster do you think has the potential to develop into a world-beater in 3 years' time?

Will the top men of 2009, LD and LCW still be game 3 years from now?
Will the heroic veteran Peter Gade still be playing?

    Discuss.

Don't forget some of the rising stars like Tago and Chen Long. 3 years from now, they might have improved a lot. ;)

I am with you on this prediction...LD is pacing himself to play selectively. Presently, there is no real challenge and with 3 yrs to OLY12, LD is still the one to beat.

NTM is over 30 when OLY12 comes around...the fast space and smash-smash-and-more-smash, I don't think he can sustain that pace.

PG said during Badzine chat he might retire after 2010 WC. When asked abt 2012, he cant be certain, sthing like dunno if his body still can sustain by then.

Yup lor. Since the thread starter mentioned PG, so most probably PG already retired by 2012.

    You are probably right on..

...as for my thinking on LD, here's what i feel. If he gets married & has a baby before 2012, LD will be hard pressed to repeat as OG champ...On that note, anyone knows if LD and XXF will tie the knot anytime soon??..

PG got married and has 2 kids, and still playing great at 32, and still the best MS from DEN...TH was coming off a fantastic 2005, got married, went clubbing and downhill after that...it depends on LD discipline in training...also, as LD 'ages', so does everyone else and the key is who are coming up and peak in OLY12 and of course the draw for OLY12 and WR of LD are important factors...for what it is now, there is no real challenge to LD, the main opponents would be Rumba (if he doesn't fizzles out but turns out to the next great one from INA and has 3 yrs to prepare), CJ (he should be at his peak by 2012), CL and the 1-2 youngster from DEN, and PSH from KOR. But LD is still a force and best bet...if LD marries XXF, both are baddy players, they should know better than to be complacent...and I am betting that LD is so focus on getting the 2nd OLY gold that he will focus on that mission...it is history in the making and set a mark that would be very difficult to break. All these SS are peanuts, a 2nd OLY gold would bring far more riches:)
