Luminasonic 9 Luminasonic 7 http://www.mizuno.jp/catalog/category/111001070/ TBO, they don't look all too impressive, especially when compared to the TC line, but hopefully they'll be a blast to play with.
It is hard to see from the pictures.. but grey+blue seems very nice and refreshing, with all these red/yellow thingies that YY and LN etc. keeps spitting out I am excitetd to try them out.. There are rumors about some new exciting carbon tech in these puppies... /Twobeer
Well, I don't know if "boring" is the word I'd use to describe the LS7, but it certainly isn't as aggressive as the LS9. But it's probably more appropriate, as the LS7 is a flexible racket that caters to female players. IMO, the colors and graphics seem a bit plain, even on the verge of being bland- the TCs are the prime examples of understated elegance, IMHO- but it is refreshing to see a return of simplicity and subtlety after the recent trend of extermely bright, flashy, almost haught colors and designs. And as it isn't as polarizing as the ARC-ZS aesthetically, I'm sure if one doesn't like the apperance, it'll still be easy to overlook if it performs exceptionally well. XD Actually, if you go to the soft tennis section of Mizuno's latest racket sports catalog (available where else but Shuttle-House), you can get a glimpse of the "Solid Carbon Concept" tech; it seems to be about the carbon fibers being even thinner and constituting even more of the mass than resins when compared to traditional materials. Also, Mizuno already has soft and hard tennis rackets out that utilize SCC, CNT and the Tetra-Axial woven material, so I wonder if there's an ultimate baddy weapon in the works incorporating all those technologies~
hmmm...judging from the posts, i guess my tc700 still got a long ways to go; which in relative baddy terms is not too long at all.
I think santa is coming from japan soon i saw shuttle-house have the new luminasonics for sale.. I will place an order swiftly to see if they provide and boom these is the product pictures on shuttle-house.com:
Do post a review when possible. Would like to have a comparison made with the TC700 for I'm not familar with Mizuno different product lines at the moment. Thanks.
I guess the solid carbon is they pack them closer together or something twobeers? What would be the upside to it? Thx!
I am not sure but I assume it is mainly for strength in the frame. These rackets seem to similarily to the arc-z focus on head-speed / air resistance.. Anyway I am intrigued enough to order both for some intense testing after all christmas food /Twobeer
Hmmm.... I wonder why good Mizuno rackets all in similar price range.... GP88, GP80, TC700, and now these. Maybe Luminasonic series going to replace TC series? Twobeer, looking forward to your review.
When you consider that the difference in materials cost between the most expensive ever and bog-standard carbon racket is maybe 5 bucks, the price difference between rackets has very little to do with the racket itself. Are these for sale anywhere yet?
