2009 China Badminton Open: Day 5 (Semi-Finals on Saturday, Nov-21)

It will be an All-China Womens Singles Semi-Finals. It shows how strong China is (in the Womens Division).

In the Womens Doubles, a Malaysian pair is still amongst the other 3 Chinese pairs.

I am more interested in LD v PSH and LXR v WX. Hehe. For the WS, JYJ, WX and LXR are from Bayi team. 3 Bayi playes in the semi, well done! We can also view like this, the 80s versus the 90s. See who is stronger. Hehe. Actually LD is not in his best form, hope he can defeat the 'killer Park'. :D And i hope both lyd/lhj and zb/mj win their match. I want to see they meet in the final.

JJ from DEN got his wish...he wants to beat a CHN MS player and what's better venue than right in China;)

If score is any indication, the ease in which LD win so far in CO09, who can challenge him?...looks like a LD-CJ final...that is why, I say OLY12, how can LD not be the favorite to make it 2-peat.

WS final would be interesting to see LXR playing WXZ.

My typo...you are correct. I have many times the WS landscape will be CHN dominated...while the rest of the world recycles their same-old-same-old and aging WS players, CHN has abundance of very good players...to make the CHN WS team is a dog fight and darn harder than winning SS or majors, survival of the fittest and the best...7 of the 8 QF are from CH therefore to win CO12 the CHN WS players have to beat their own compatriot....consider this, ZL is still young and out of the team, LL is the reigning WC and lost and could be out too, here comes LXR and WSX came in very recently, who else coming up next from CHN? Looks like the shelf life of CHN WS players are short compared to WS from other top nations who can play till old age...hehehe!!:p:D

can't wait to see Lin Dan against PSH!!! will be so good to watch, cos Park, IMO, is the currently the only player that can really threaten Lin Dan on court.

    On store for the Semis..

    ..the interesting matches:
    - MS match between JOJ vs. CJ. Just want to see how JOJ fares against CJ.
    - XD match between LYD & LHJ vs. the THA pair (this yr's JPN Open winner). Could be explosive.
    - MD match between the Danes vs. LYD & JJS. If only to keep narnia interested..;)

    Might be interesting:
    - MD match between KKK & TBH vs. the TPE pair. If only to keep the M'sia fans entertained by Ah Koo's antics..;)

Yeah, they'll be frothing at his every move, on the verge of cardiac arrest every time he tries an extravagant trick shot :p. After all he's the most entertaining net player, isn't he

Yes, I think LD finds playing against PSH is more difficult than playing against LCW

Yup. If he is good on match day, KKK/TBH should win. If he is off form, what ever TBH does at the back will be wasted.

LD to win over PSH. IMO, it's almost a no-contest. I'd be surprised if PSH wins over LD.

2009 China Open SS (Day 5) - Semi-Finals (Park Sung Hwan vs Lin Dan)

Unfortunately, PSH is tired out by DPY at the Quarter-Finals, in a 75-minutes match, yesterday.
Otherwise, it could be close match between PSH and LD today, at the Semi-Finals.

Don't be surprised. JOJ has great determination and courage.
If JOJ can defeat LCW and BP, CJ should be worried.

China WS youngsters will play without any reservation to challenge their senior compatriot.
With the 'background' support, LXR very likely to make another upset win. LXR jia you :p

It is tough for JOJ or BP to beat CJ or LD in front of China hometown crowd....

Finally Kunchala is on TV court, cute girl vs handsome
boy. Tom Yam Goong vs kimchi, which is spicier? :crying:

Taiwanese Harry Porter, do your best and make KKK perform another entertaining act....:)
