wow, just can't believe our Malaysia 'die hard' fan danielwong is the one who creates this thread. But I gonna go for class now, class at 12pm. Hehe.. just briefly give some information about her here. Later when I am back only give more in details.

    Name: Tian Qing
    DOB: 5/8/1986
    Province: Hunan
Junior achievement: WJC 2004 (WD together with Yu Yang)
Hobby: Sleep (she is a lazy girl)

Haha.. even herself, she admits that she is very lazy, she will never train extra, she will just train enough as the coach requires. :D

let's talk about her badminton, shall we?

i was quite impressed after watching 2009CO final. she complemented ZYW really well. not the tallest but good height, slim, agile and powerful. most importantly, she plays a very mature game now than before. still a bit unstable on the feet once in a while especially underpressure, but at her young-ish age she has tons of time to improve. she will definitely be one of the player to watch for 2012.

ZYW's a hard-working (on court) and aggressive player, TQ looks like to have similar aggressive manner on court... although there is sometimes a bit unstable, but overall speaking, didn't shown any significant weakness... a player with real potential...

I think the success in CO and partnering with ZYW would benefit her a lot... how fortunate she is...

yup, I was impressed by her too. Because she has really improved a lot compared to the first time I watch her play in Singapore Open 2009 live. I remember she and Pan Pan defeated the OG 08 silver medalist LHJ/LKW in round 16. But I didn't watch round 16. The next day, I watch they play but they were defeated by the Thai pair (if I'm not mistaken, it was the Thai pair). They played badly, I don't understand how they can win against LHJ/LKW, maybe points are come from the 'Mistakes Queen'. :D Poor defence, weak smashing power. The Thai pair totally controlled the match!

But then, I think I have to look at her with new eyes, she really impressed me this time. I also watch the video of Zhang Yawen/Pan Pan v Frier/Juhl in Denmark Open, but I still think Tian Qing is better than Pan Pan. Zhang Yawen/Tian Qing or Zhang Yawen/Pan Pan, I prefer Zhang Yawen/Tian Qing.

But one of the reasons Pan Pan can't play a very best badminton maybe due to her leg injury long time ago. When she first promoted to the Youth team (2nd team), her transverse ligament was ruptured during a training session. It was very serious, she has to back to PLC (Bayi team) to undergo a surgery immediately. Her mother asked her not to train anymore, but Pan Pan insisted to step back to the badminton court. After the injury, she has to learn how to walk and how to run. She is just like a new born kid who learns how to walk and how to run. So pity... Maybe if not because of this incident, Pan Pan/Tian Qing can play very well, even better than Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei. Hehe....:D

yup, although Tian Qing is quite lazy, everytime when she is on court, she always think to WIN, but not lose. Hehe... Pan Pan and Tian Qing are younger than Zhang Yawen, so Zhang Yawen will no longer facing the problem of 'partner retire' in the future. :D She will retire first than her partner in the future. Haha... :D So pity with Zhang Yawen, last time with Zhang Dan, then Zhang Dan went to Macau. Then with Wei Yili, Wei Yili retired after OG 08. With Zhao Tingting, but Zhao Tingting retired after WC 09. :( What a hard badminton life she has. :(

    Hmm...if not mistaken..

..i recall her pics, in the previous page, have been posted in BC before...
    - I thought she would be one of the younger players (around 20-21 y.o.). With her now partnering ZYW, CHN will probably have 3 very solid WD pairs to contend with for the 2012 OG: ZYW & TQ, YY & DJ and ZYL & CS.

    - Traning-wise, I hope she's not as lazy like Mr. Taufik...:p

    1986? She sure doesn't look 23.

I'm sure LYB is thrilled to know she admits to being lazy and will do the minimum requirement in practices
