I’m planning to buy a new racket and I’ve narrowed down my choices to the MP-90 and Ti-10. As such I would like to ask the experts in this forum which one is a better buy for a doubles player? The Ti-10 is cheaper at $170 vs. the MP-90 at $190 (sing). I value both control and power for my racket. Hope you could help… any maybe even tell me if the prices I quoted are cheap
Hi Doodleboy, I recommend the MP90 over the Ti10. (I have both rackets =)... Dont get me wrong both are excellent rackets but I think the MP90 is best suited for doubles play. FYI, I play at Valle...
Kamusta , Well i would suggest Mp90Jp. I think you can get it in Hong Kong. Its cheaper there. Mp90 is more sturdy than ti-10.
Hey DoodleBoy, Have you thought about the MP88 and Ti Swingpower (SR/SS or SX) Also good double rackets and fit your needs...
I'd probably say mp90(99) would work better in doubles. Haven't really used Ti-10 before but judging from the usual comments people have about it, it seems to be a stiff and powerful racquet that is not as suitable for doubles since it is not as maneuverable.
G'day, I agree with JWU here as I have both Ti-10 and MP90. MP90/99 is an easier racket to play doubles with as it is more maneuverable than Ti-10. Having said that, most of international players use Ti-10 for doubles as their skill more than comphensate for slightly heavier racket. Ti-10 packs a mighty punch in smash that MP90/99 cannot compare to, but MP90/99 is better for flat drives, net shots and interception.
