Coaches in HK?
Hey,
I'm going to be going to HKU to study in January, and I was wondering where there are places to play near HKU?
Also, does anybody know of some decent coaches in HK? It'd be pretty awesome if I could get coached there during my stay =P I can speak / understand fluent cantonese so language barrier is no problem

You can train with the Uni team at Flor Ho Sport Centre

They hold regular trainings every week and is pretty insane..... huge amounts of plyometrics.
BTW which hall are you staying at?

My coach is an ex HKG National player but you need to book the court. If you know where and when, I could ask him if he is interested because he is pretty tight up on nearly each day and sometimes he goes to Shenzhen to train some police & customs officers.
How long are you going to stay in HKG?

I play in Tung Chung on sunday and monday. Ocassionaly I play in Lai Chi Kok inside a hospital on tuesday. On wednesday, my coach comes over to Tung Chung for an one hour training session. On Thursday, I play in Chai Wan. Once a while, I also play in Sai Wan Ho on a saturday but I seldom go there now.

That is not far away!!!!! 5 mins on the bus. Plenty of buses go there.
There are people that plays on Sunday evening in the Flora Ho sports centre. Most are students or alumni. On Wednesday evenings you can go to the MMRC which is opposite the sports fields in Sandy Bay. I go there sometimes and definitely very inexpensive.

Anyone in Hong Kong interested in sharing a professional coach, preferably for sessions at night? The venue can be on HK island or Kowloon. The cost is HK$500/hr excluding court fees and shuttles. Only one to two vacancies available. The rate is actually quite low considering the coach was a one-time gold medallist in the East Asian Games.
